Step 1
Where to go, where to run and what to do when something as important as a passport, pension certificate, driving license or birth certificate is missing? Calm down first. Try searching for documents again. It happens that a person, being nervous, does not see the obvious, but the necessary things lie in the most conspicuous place. If you cannot do this yourself, ask to search for the person who is near you. If you are at home, ask your loved ones if anyone has seen your passport (license, contract). Perhaps the document was simply shifted.
Step 2
If the documents are nowhere to be found, then sit down and remember where you went recently, in which authorities you presented your documents, where you saw them for the last time. You may have forgotten them at work. Go back and see if your documents were found there.

Contact your desk or lost property office. Found documents are often brought to such organizations. Leave your personal details, and you will be contacted if suddenly your passport or other lost document is found.
Step 4
Write ads in the area where you work or live. Promise a reward for your return. Here you must also indicate the phone number or address of residence. Also contact the police, writing there a statement about the loss of documents.
Step 5
Advertise in local newspapers. Now the majority of newspapers have a column “Finds and losses” among the sections of ads “Buy”, “Sell”, “Looking for a job”. You can go to the office of one of these newspapers, or you can advertise by phone.
