Looking for indoor
Potential places to find loss in an apartment are the bed, bathroom, and dressing room. First of all, look there: most likely, the earring flew off when you changed clothes or dried yourself after a shower.
Examine the clothes in which you walked - the earring could catch on, for example, a knitted sweater. Look under furniture and large appliances. Unscrew the sump at the sink, if you accidentally washed off the earring. Shake the trash can.
Use a vacuum cleaner. Only pre-wrap the attachment with gauze or a piece of nylon so that the earring is not sucked in. Thoroughly vacuum not only the carpet, but also the upholstered furniture, all the folds of the sofa and armchairs.
If you've been cleaning before you find it is missing, shake the dust bag or vacuum cleaner container.

An earring made of precious metals left without a pair can be melted, for example, into a neat pendant. Or, on the contrary, order a new earring from the jeweler based on the model of the remaining one.
You can take your piece of jewelry to a jewelry workshop or store for money. But you should not count on a large amount: an unpaired piece of jewelry will go like scrap of precious metals.
