Instructions

Step 1

The customs deposit is the guarantee of the delivery of the imported vehicle to the customs control authorities for the payment of customs duties. How it works: a buyer who wants to import a certain car into Russia must provide a certain amount of a deposit, and in return receive a Customs receipt, on the basis of which he will be issued a Warranty Certificate. In the absence of confirmation of security, the car at the entrance will not be able to cross the Russian border.

Step 2

An important detail: if you plan to make a deposit directly at the checkpoint, then it will be impossible to do this. Therefore, it is recommended to pay a deposit in advance. By the way, the legislation allows you to secure a pledge in four ways: pay the fee at the customs office, and any authorized person can do this, pledge property, provide a bank guarantee or a surety of a third party. Most often, a customs deposit is secured by depositing the required amount.

Step 3

Please note that you need to put money into the account at the place of registration or residence of the individual who will import the vehicle.

Step 4

When making an operation, you will need to provide an application in the prescribed form, a civil passport, a foreign passport, a notarized power of attorney, if the money is paid by a trusted person.

Step 5

The deposit is calculated at the rate. There are two types of bets. First, if the vehicle data is not known. Then the tariffs established by order of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation No. 302 of February 21, 2012 "On the establishment of fixed amounts of security for the payment of customs duties and taxes in respect of excisable goods" are applied. In this case, the amount of the deposit and the import tariff will differ. In the second case, if the future buyer knows the exact data of the vehicle, and he can provide supporting documents, the amount of the deposit will be accurately calculated, which will be equal to the amount of customs payment when importing a car.

Step 6

However, if the fee has not been paid, then, as mentioned above, the car will not enter the country. To remedy the situation, the owner will have to proceed to the place of residence, make a deposit, and only then return to the border for the vehicle. There is also a second way: send a notarized power of attorney by mail to the person who will pay the fee and wait for the Warranty Certificate from him.

Step 7

There are also reverse situations: delivery assurance was entered, but the car was not delivered to the customs control point. In this case, the amount of the deposit will not be refunded.
