Step 1
Carefully study the documents that you received from the insurance company when completing the transaction. Firstly, this is an insurance policy or an insurance contract, and secondly, it is a document on the basis of which payment for the services of the insurer is made, an invoice or a receipt. Each of these aforementioned documents must contain the contract number that was assigned by the insurer upon conclusion.
Step 2
Consider an insurance policy. The number assigned to it when concluding a transaction between you and the insurer is usually affixed at the top of the right or left. Most insurance companies use letters and numbers to generate the number - Latin and Russian. CTP policies, standard for all companies, are numbered in the upper right corner and have an alphabetic series and a digital number.
Step 3
Pay attention to the title page of the insurance contract if the contract was concluded between you or the organization you represent, but the policy was not issued. The name of the document will contain the number assigned to the contract. Usually, insurers write the following: "The contract of insurance of liability of tow trucks No. xx / xxx / xx dated 08.08.08".
Step 4
Examine the documents on the basis of which you paid for the services of the insurance organization. If you represent a legal entity, the insurance company issued an invoice, it must indicate the basis of the payment, for example, "Payment of the insurance premium under the insurance contract for construction and installation risks No. xxxx dated 11.11.11". If you are an individual and made the payment according to the receipt, look at the line "purpose of payment", it should indicate the type of insurance and the policy number.
Step 5
Call the insurance company you contracted with. Ask the secretary to put you in touch with the department that deals with the particular type of insurance, for example, the health insurance department or the cargo insurance department. Tell the specialist of the department the name or name and surname of the policyholder, the one who concluded the insurance contract. Ask a specialist to find out the policy number in the database by name or title.
