Getting sick is always unpleasant. Feeling unwell, coughing, fever, runny nose - these are the symptoms of a common cold. However, if the fever and runny nose go away in a few days, then the cough may remain even for several weeks, causing inconvenience to you and those around you. If conventional cough remedies cannot help, then a nebulizer will come to the rescue - a special device for getting the medicine directly into the bronchi and lungs.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash your hands thoroughly before inhalation, as there may be pathogenic microbes on the skin of your hands. Collect all parts of the nebulizer according to the instructions. Pour 2 ml of saline and a few drops of the medication pre-warmed to room temperature into a nebulizer cup. It is not recommended to use medicines based on oils and particles, such as herbal infusions.
Step 2
Close the machine and attach the face mask. Next, connect the nebulizer and compressor with a hose. Turn on the compressor and carry out the procedure for 7-10 minutes until the drug is completely consumed. Breathe deeply and evenly. After a deep breath, you should hold your breath for 2 seconds, then exhale through the nose, this will help the drug penetrate into the deep parts of the respiratory tract. If you are concerned about diseases of the nasal passages, then inhalation should be carried out by inhaling and exhaling the drug through the nose.
Step 3
After inhalation, rinse your mouth with water. Then turn off the compressor, disconnect the nebulizer and disassemble it into its component parts. Carefully rinse all parts of the apparatus with hot water or a weak (15%) soda solution. Once a week, the nebulizer must be disinfected, for example, by boiling for 10 minutes.
