According to the official version of the investigation, the singer dozed off at the wheel and did not notice the approach of the bus. Alcohol and drugs were not found in Tsoi's blood, so the police put forward a version of the singer's overwork, which led to fatal consequences.
Some fans of Viktor Tsoi did not agree with the official version and put forward a number of their own. For some time after the death of the leader of the Kino group, there was a popular version that someone had deliberately damaged the brakes of the Moskvich, but after an expert examination this assumption was rejected. There was also talk of suicide, allegedly Choi, having dispersed the car, specially directed it to the bus, but the singer's extensive plans for the future dispelled this version.
