If you bought a watch in a store, and for some reason they did not suit you, you can return it. Russian legislation gives this opportunity to the consumer. However, you should know how you can get your money back from the store.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out if you have the right to return the purchased watch to the store. This can be done if they are defective due to the fault of the manufacturer. In the event that the model simply doesn't suit you, you may not always be able to replace it. The hours for which the warranty period is set cannot be exchanged. Also, you will not be able to return to the store an accessory partially made of gold, silver or platinum, or decorated with precious stones. The rest of the models can be brought back to the store within fourteen days after purchase.
Step 2
If your watch can be legally returned, please contact the store. Come there with a watch, a receipt and a warranty card, if you were given one upon purchase. You can exchange an accessory without a guarantee for a similar one, or ask for a refund. If covered under warranty, your watch will be sent for free repair. And only if it doesn't help, you will be able to claim your money.
Step 3
Get your watch or money back. If you are refused to repair them and to compensate for the damage, contact the Consumer Protection Service. They will help you make a competent complaint that can affect the store. It can also be productive to contact the watchmaker directly if it is a well-known brand. Fearing for its reputation, the company may meet you halfway and replace a low-quality product.
Step 4
If there is no response to your claims from the store, go to court. But this only makes sense if we are talking about a significant amount of compensation. Otherwise, you will spend more money on the examination of the quality of the purchased product.
