A rather unpleasant situation arises when an elevator gets stuck in a residential building. In order not to be late for your business and to lose precious time, you should immediately call the appropriate services.

Step 1
Press the yellow key to contact the emergency service, which is located at the bottom of the elevator keypad. If this doesn't follow, try clicking on it a few more times. After a while, you will hear the voice of the emergency operator. Tell him the essence of the problem and tell him the exact address where the elevator got stuck. The operator will suggest one of the possible ways to solve the problem (try to close or open the doors, press the keys on the panel in a special order, etc.). If all else fails, a specialist will be sent to you, who will arrive at the site after a while and help you free yourself.
Step 2
If the dispatcher call button does not work and you cannot get out on your own, call the emergency services at 112 from your cell phone. This case will be considered an emergency, and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are required to accept the call.
Step 3
Call your friends or family if you have a cell phone with you. It is good if you know the numbers of your neighbors and just acquaintances in the house who may be in their apartment at the moment. Tell them that you are stuck in an elevator and ask for help. Your loved ones can try to call the emergency service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations or the management company of your house on their own. Also, be sure to call work or wherever you are traveling to alert you of your delay.
Step 4
Just try to call someone for help by shouting and knocking on the elevator doors, if you don't have your phone with you and the dispatcher call button does not work. Use this method as a last resort to distract tenants and not wake them up if you get stuck at a late hour. Usually you don't have to wait long, and the first tenants who reach the elevator will provide you with the necessary assistance.
