Hot water in suburban buildings that are not connected to the central heating and water supply system can be obtained by installing an instantaneous water heater, a single-circuit or double-circuit boiler, and a boiler. The latter come with one or two heat exchangers. The advantage of these devices is that they are able to provide significantly more hot water that can be used per unit of time. Such water heaters are storage tanks in which the liquid temperature set by the owner is maintained.

These devices are used for industrial and domestic purposes. Boilers for production are characterized by high power and large capacity. Such installations are required where it is necessary to provide hot water to workshops and buildings in any industry where a continuous flow of liquid of a certain temperature is needed. Industrial water heaters are most often gas, solid fuel, liquid fuel or combined. The use of electricity for the operation of such powerful installations is irrational due to its costlessness.

Domestic water heaters are installed in those houses and buildings where there is no possibility of connecting to the central water supply. These can be dachas, country houses, construction sites with premises located on them for workers, roadside cafes, hotels. The boiler is placed in a specially designed room for the installation of heating and plumbing equipment. If the capacity of the water heater is small, in order to avoid heat loss and in order to save fuel (electricity), the device is mounted directly in front of the water distribution point: in kitchens, in bathrooms and shower rooms, laundries.

Manufacturers have made sure that these water heaters take up as little space in the room as possible. Therefore, they are most often flat and have an elongated shape: rectangular or cylindrical. A family of 3-4 people living in a dacha or in a country house, in order to cover the required demand for hot water, a container with a volume of 50-80 liters is enough. The place of its installation is selected based on the possibility of the most rational use of the coolant.
