Some people with a medical condition such as myopia are forced to wear lenses daily. Caring for them is very important, since the safety and further health of your eyes depends on this. As a rule, lenses collect microscopic dust during wear, which must be removed using a special multi-purpose solution.

Necessary

  • - container for lenses;
  • - multipurpose solution;
  • - tweezers for lenses;
  • - 3% hydrogen peroxide;
  • - sodium thiosulfate solution.

Instructions

Step 1

Remember to clean your lenses daily. This process consists of three steps: cleaning the lens surface, rinsing with a solution, and disinfecting.

Step 2

First, fill the lens storage container with a special solution, which you can get from your pharmacy. After that, take the lens and place it on your palm with the edges up, that is, it should lie, resembling a saucer.

Step 3

Wet forefinger and thumb with the solution and lightly rub the lens to remove dirt such as hair. After that, put a few drops of the solution into the lens and wipe it again from all sides with your index finger, without pressing or applying force.

Step 4

Next, disinfect the lenses. To do this, take them with special tweezers (it should be with soft tips so as not to damage the surface) and put them in a container filled with fresh and clean solution. Leave them in it for at least four hours (ideally eight hours). The lenses are then ready to be worn.

Step 5

Often, some protein deposits form on the lenses, the reason for this can be various external factors, for example, dust, tobacco smoke and others. Use enzyme tablets to restore transparency to the lenses. Please note that you can only use them once a week.

Step 6

Take a container, fill with fresh solution, dissolve one enzyme tablet in each cell. Then rinse the lenses from dirt and place in the container for five hours.

Step 7

Then take them out, rinse thoroughly again. Do the same with the container. Then fill it with fresh solution, put the lenses in it and let it sit for eight hours. After that, they are ready to wear.

Step 8

If you use colored lenses with a so-called “backing”, special care is needed. Immerse such lenses weekly in a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution for fifteen minutes, then in a 2.5% sodium thiosulfate solution for ten minutes. After that, soak the lenses in a regular multi-purpose solution for 8 hours.
