Sketch in painting

It is widely known that even the most famous artists, before embarking on large-scale canvases, made a huge number of sketches and sketches. The main purpose of such sketches was to build the composition of the future painting. This is precisely the main task of the sketch, it allows you to outline the correct, harmonious arrangement of all elements of the picture, correlate the proportions and play with various options.

All sketches are divided into two types - schematic and detailed. The first are needed to indicate the approximate shape of future elements and their relative position. Detailed sketches represent compositionally lined drawings with a meticulous depiction of the most important details of the future picture.

There are also intermediate options. However, any sketch or sketch should demonstrate the main, most important element, which is the basis of the composition, which attracts attention while studying the image. This dominance of the main element is most often expressed through its location and size, the rest of the details should only emphasize its importance.

Sketches are used to understand and feel the laws of composition. Sketching is a great helper for aspiring artists, letting them play with the arrangement of the painting in an effort to achieve the perfect balance and composition.
