Looking at the screen in the cinema, some viewers dream of being in the shoes of the actors and plunge into the world of the film industry. You don't have to go to college to do this, as most films use crowd scenes with non-professional actors.

Step 1
A film set is a special world in which everyone plays their assigned role. It depends on each of them whether the film will become a new masterpiece or whether it will be destined to pass by the viewer. The extras play no less important role than the leading actors. People who want to get a big role in a movie often come to such roles, and they, as a rule, try to show themselves in all their glory and even get into a close-up. Among them are also students of creative universities, for whom it is very important to gain experience working alongside professional, already established actors.
Step 2
During the shooting days, the actors of the crowd scenes are fed on an equal basis with everyone else. Of course, the shooting budget is often quite modest, but you can count on tea and sandwiches. Extras often have to film in bad weather conditions, so it's best to take care of warm clothing and food yourself.
Step 3
Anything can happen on set, so to avoid injury, you should constantly consult with your crew members. Do not hesitate to clarify incomprehensible moments, you will not look stupid in any case, but, on the contrary, you will play your scene much better. In addition, for one shooting day, you can receive a small reward (as a rule, it ranges from 300 to 700 rubles), and the hope that you will be invited to shoot in the next project of this director.
Step 4
In some cases, directors, in an attempt to cut the budget, cut back on crowd scene actors and use human-styled mannequins instead. Usually it happens like this: in the foreground, fifty or sixty actors from the crowd are seated, and dressed mannequins are installed in the back. This technique is often used when shooting crowd scenes at large objects (stadiums, cinemas, etc.).
