During the years of Dmitry Medvedev's presidency, the position of the Russian Federation in the world economy has changed little. But during this period, several of the most significant and promising directions for the development of the country's industry were identified.
The five main directions of development of the Russian industry, which are worth paying attention to, are the auto industry (of course, not without the participation of foreign capital), pharmaceuticals, IT, agriculture, and energy. The largest automakers have long been considering the Russian market as a site for the construction of their plants. This is good for the Russian Federation, as it provides citizens with jobs.
The situation is practically the same in the pharmaceutical industry. World leaders in this industry set up their production facilities in Russia.
Agriculture is one of the main trump cards of the Russian Federation in the world market. One cannot ignore the abundance of fertile lands and the rich experience of the peasants of Russia. But energy and IT are relatively new areas of industry, but very promising.
Of course, not only these directions of industrial development will be taken into account by the Russian government. The Presidential Decree of May 7, 2012 "On Long-Term Economic Policy" refers to the mandatory modernization of industry. Particular attention is paid to innovative technologies, since the future belongs to them.
The decree calls for the development of the aviation industry, space activities, medical and pharmaceutical industries, shipbuilding, electronic and radio-electronic industries. It is proposed to accelerate the socio-economic development of the Far East and Siberia by providing these areas with modern roads.
Thus, the main trend is visible - the active introduction of innovations into the industry, the development of the auto industry and pharmaceuticals with the help of leading foreign companies and the restoration of agriculture. But all other areas of the Russian economy will not be ignored, the government closely monitors the development of all industries.
