The leave is given to her 70 days before giving birth, if one child is born, or 86 days, if two or more children are expected. A maternity allowance is paid for all days of leave in the amount of average earnings.

In the event that the working experience of the expectant mother is less than six months, or the size of her average monthly earnings is less than the minimum wage (which for 2014 is 5,554 rubles), then the minimum wage is taken to calculate the average earnings.
Step 3
As for the maximum amount of maternity benefits, in 2014 the maximum possible amount of income from which the average earnings will be calculated will amount to 624 thousand rubles. Thus, the maximum amount of the allowance under consideration will be equal to 207 thousand rubles. with a vacation of 140 days (in the case of the birth of 1 child without complications during childbirth).
Step 4
In order to receive benefits from the employer, a pregnant woman must provide him with a certificate of incapacity for work, an application with a request to provide maternity leave, as well as a certificate of the amount of earnings from other places of work, if any.
Step 5
The maternity allowance is paid on the day of salary payment closest to the beginning of maternity leave. In the event that the payment is not due on time, the woman has the right to contact the nearest local branch of the Social Insurance Fund in order to receive benefits directly from this fund.
Step 6
If a working pregnant woman is registered with a medical institution before the 12th week of pregnancy, she is entitled to an additional payment. Its size is not fixed, and in 2014 it will be 515 rubles.
