When installing various household appliances, it is often necessary to regulate and limit the strength of the output current. Stabilized power supplies with a wide range of output voltage ranges and adjustable output current will help solve this problem.
Necessary
- - transistor voltage regulator;
- - current converter.
Instructions
Step 1
If you plan to limit the current on your own, without using complex devices and professional circuits, use a transistor voltage regulator. The device will help limit or increase the current and obtain the required power at the output.
Step 2
At the input of such a regulator, you can supply an unstabilized voltage up to 40 V. At the output of the device, you will receive the required current strength, and you can also turn it off completely without resorting to a standard switch. The maximum current delivered to the load will be from 10 microamperes to 3 amperes.
Step 3
Use the power transistor KT # 803 as the basis for the circuit. The domestic device has many analogues, for example, the imported transistor model 2N3055. A feature of the wiring diagram is the inclusion of a VT3 transistor, which will convert and regulate the limited current circuit. The connection will provide a low temperature dependence of the limitation. The base-emitter will regulate the power transistor VT4.
Step 4
Connect resistor R5 to the output voltage, and resistor R6 to the current limiter. You will receive a current transformer.
Step 5
The commercial network sells ready-made converters to limit the current to the required power. For example, the converter model FE No. 1890-AD is designed for AC and DC power grids with a frequency of up to 50 Hz. The device can be installed autonomously or as part of automated systems.
Step 6
The 0-10V LTTJ current transducer model allows you not only to change the load strength, but also to independently select the desired range.
Step 7
Install all models of converters according to the standard scheme in the network between the supplied and received current. You will get the range you want from 30 microamperes to 3 amperes. This will allow you to manually adjust the ranges or enable automatic adjustments.
