The ability to handle fire should be brought up from early childhood - it is important to make the child understand that it is very easy to turn fire from friend to enemy, but the consequences of such rash actions can be irreparable.
Necessary
- - water;
- - scapula.
Instructions
Step 1
Do not start a fire in the forest unless absolutely necessary. Choose a place for a fire away from trees, dead wood, in places where there are no old dry leaves and dead grass. Better to find an old fireplace lined with stones, a bare ground, or a strip of sand.
If you cannot find such a place, then prepare it yourself - free an area with a diameter of at least 1.5 m from debris and vegetation and dig in it with a shovel.
Step 2
Make sure there is a pool nearby where you can get water to put out the fire. Do not start a fire under overhanging branches or tree tops, even if it is raining. Prevent the spread of fire outside the fireplace.
Leaving the resting place, carefully fill the fire with water, stir up the coals and fill them until the steam stops coming from them.
Step 3
If you do not have enough water to put out the fire, then knock down the flames, stir up the embers and coals, mix the ash with the earth with a shovel and dig in the fireplace in a circle. It is advisable to cover the fire and smoldering firebrands with wet soil, trample them thoroughly until the smoke stops flowing. Leave the fireplace in 15-20 minutes, making sure that the fire does not ignite again.
Step 4
Do not throw loose matches and cigarette butts anywhere, break the match before throwing it away (you cannot break it without extinguishing it). Never set trees on fire, not even for distress calls!
Step 5
If you find yourself in a fire zone, then quickly assess the situation - the strength and direction of the wind, the terrain, the speed of the fire spread. If necessary, throw away everything except the first aid kit, signaling equipment, and water. Move away from the fire towards the wind, bypassing the fire from the side.
In case of contact with fire, remove all synthetic melting clothing, dispose of flammable equipment. After leaving the danger area, report the fire as quickly as possible.
