A greenhouse is an irreplaceable thing in any garden. It allows you to get early and large harvests. But not everyone can afford to buy a ready-made greenhouse. Often, summer residents build greenhouses on their own. However, in order to build a greenhouse correctly, you need to know some immutable rules. Then your efforts to build it will not be in vain.
Instructions
Step 1
First, decide on the location of the greenhouse. It is better to place it in the most illuminated place, where there are no trees and buildings that create shadow. Then the plants will always be in the sun, the harvest will ripen in large volumes. Choose a place for a greenhouse where there is no cold north wind, preferably on a hill to protect the greenhouse from spring floods. It is best to put a greenhouse, orienting it from west to east.
Step 2
Then make a frame for the greenhouse. It can be made of wood, metal or plastic. Wooden is preferable: although it is less durable, but in contact with it, the plants will not freeze. Anchor the 6 perimeter side support posts and the 3 center support legs firmly in the ground. Then collect the horizontal beams on top of the supports, fix the rafter legs in half a meter increments, hang the door on the north side.
Step 3
Assemble two wooden boxes for the beds inside the frame, deepening their frames by 50 cm and filling them with biofuel. It can be horse or cow dung covered with a layer of hay. Pour the earth on top with a layer of 10-15 cm. The garden bed, which is located on the north side, should be 10 cm higher than the south, so that the sun's rays fall evenly.
Step 4
Pull plastic wrap or PVC wrap over the frame. Better to take whole pieces. Secure the foil by nailing thin wooden slats to the supports. The ends of the greenhouse must be completely covered with foil. The greenhouse can now be used.
