"IQ", which many abbreviate as IQ, is a person's ability to perceive and adapt new information. A high IQ level is much more important than nomenclature knowledge. The level of intelligence can be determined using specially designed tests.

The level of aikyu indicates what speed of thinking processes is observed in a particular person, which is why tasks from tests to determine the level of intelligence must be completed within a certain period of time. It should be understood that tests do not give an idea of a person's ability to think or the presence of so-called original thinking. Therefore, today testing for aykyu is beginning to lose its past popularity, and tests that were once a commercial secret are available for free on the Internet, the results can be obtained by SMS.

The most famous test is Eysenck's test. More accurate tests by D. Wexler, J. Raven, R. Amthauer, R. B. Kettell.

Psychometric Intelligence Testing

In order to successfully cope with the tasks of IQ tests, you must meet the following psychological indicators: have the ability to focus your attention, highlight the main thing and not be distracted by secondary questions, have a good memory and excellent vocabulary. A significant proportion is also given to imagination, which allows you to mentally manipulate objects in space. And, finally, banal perseverance is needed to pass the test successfully.

If we compare this list of parameters determined by tests with the definitions of intelligence itself, you can notice their slight discrepancy. From this it can be concluded that what the aikyu tests measure is not really intelligence. There is even a specially created term - "psychometric intelligence", which is defined by the developed questionnaire.

In search of intelligence

Despite all this, today it is the IQ test that is one of the main methods for measuring the level of intelligence. There are several types of this test. The first type allows you to determine the level of intellectual abilities in children aged 10-12 years old, the second type is designed to assess the intelligence of children from 12 years old, as well as adults, while in the tests the complexity of the questions changes, and the methodology remains at the same level.

Each aikyu test contains a lot of tasks, different in difficulty level. However, in order to get a score of 100-120, only half of them need to be solved.

Half an hour is given to complete tasks from the test. The most reliable and reliable results that indicate a person's mental abilities are in the range of 100-130 points. Going beyond these limits speaks of the unreliability of the results obtained, and not at all about genius, as many think.

Finally, I would like to note that the opinions of many psychologists agree that the aikyu tests that are being developed in the West are not fully suitable for the people of Russia, which is distinguished by a “figurative” style of thinking, that is, “thinks” not with the head, but with the heart. There are even studies that prove that the mentality of different nations is different, and therefore it makes no sense to offer an American test to a European, and a European test to a Russian.

It is not yet possible to determine the actual level of intelligence, taking into account the peculiarities of thinking, life experience and lability, world-class scientists are studying the features of brain activity and the patterns of thought processes, therefore, intelligence and its comprehension is a matter of the future.
