Step 1
If you have a cashier's check in front of you, and you need to find out its number, take a close look at the document. The information you need can be located both above and below (it all depends on the model of the cash register equipment). Do not confuse the check number with the cash register code. Sometimes a fiscal document contains wording such as "Check # _". It is after the "#" sign that the number you need is indicated.

On some cash documents, the number is written next to the date of the transaction or on the line below. The number will be preceded by a “#” sign. Also, this information can be highlighted with the phrase "Operation number".

If you cannot find the information on the fiscal document yourself, contact the store where you made the purchase. If it's a supermarket, go to the cashier or hall administrator and get the information you need.

If the check is lost, and for any reason you need to find out the document number, contact the retail space where you purchased the goods. In this case, you must provide your passport, name the date and approximate time of purchase. If you provide the name of the goods you purchased, the search for the number will take a fairly short time. As a rule, all information is stored in a computer database, so even if the document is lost, you have the opportunity to receive the check again.

If you need to clarify the number of the lost receipt that you received through the terminal or ATM, contact the support service of this machine. You can find the phone numbers on the terminal itself. If you performed transactions through a bank ATM, contact the financial department with a request to restore the lost document. The bank employee will ask you to provide your personal account number, passport and application for the restoration of the lost document.
