Step 1
Find out the number of your mailing item from the sender of your order. If you bought an item from one of the online auctions, such as eBay, try opening the Order details tab, where the order details will be listed: payment details, shipping address, etc. The shipment number can be listed under the heading Shipment details. Sometimes such systems have a separate Tracking number field that is filled in by the sender. The number is a set of numbers and capital uppercase letters of the Latin alphabet, there should be 13 characters in total (4 letters and 9 numbers).
Step 2
Since USPS operates in the United States, everything that happened to the package will be displayed on the official website of the postal service. Go to the main page of the site and select Track & Confirm from the menu located on the left side of the page. A window will open in which you need to enter the mailing number (What’s your label (or receipt) number?).
Step 3
Enter the number and click the Find button below. Next, a window will be displayed with information about the status of your shipment (Your Item’s Status), which will reflect the last movement of the parcel across the United States at the current time, indicating the date and exact time. Click on the See Details button to view all the operations that were carried out with the package. A table will open in which you will see all the statuses of the mailing.
