Benjamin's ficus with several intertwined trunks looks very decorative. If you want you to have such a plant, then get some seedlings and start working a miracle with it.
Instructions
Step 1
Put expanded clay on the bottom of the flower pot in a layer of 2 cm. Pour in a soil mixture consisting of equal parts of humus, peat and leafy earth.
Step 2
Plant 2-5 ficus seedlings, depending on how you want to braid the trunks of the plants. If in the form of a spiral, then 2 seedlings are enough. For complex weaving, a larger number of trunks will be required. A circular lattice looks very nice - this is when the phisuses are planted in a circle in a large pot and then braided.
Step 3
Care for the planted seedlings until they are 15 cm long, as the smaller size is difficult to work with. The bark on the cuttings should ripen (stiffen), the trunks themselves should be at least 0.5 cm thick, then the braided plants will look more beautiful.
Step 4
Bring the plant to the bathroom, cover the soil with a plastic bag, and turn on hot water to generate steam. Leave the pot on for a while to make the stems flexible.
Step 5
Now twist them the way you want - with a spiral, pigtail or other weaving. Small holes should be left. Then the trunks in this place will grow and thickenings will appear, which will give the plant a special look.
Step 6
Fasten the trunks of the ficus trees, use twine, plastic wrap, wire, strong thread as clamps. In order for the joints to grow together faster, you can carefully remove the bark down to the cambium. Wipe off the juice and press down firmly on the trunks with the retainer. To prevent the wire or threads from growing into the bark, replace them with new ones every month. As soon as the plants grow up, weaving can be continued.
