Biography of a rock musician

The real surname of Yuri Khoy is Klinsky, he was born in Voronezh in a family of workers of a local aircraft plant. According to the recollections of childhood friends and acquaintances, the future leader of the "Gaza Strip" at school was not particularly diligent, most often receiving three marks. But from early childhood, the boy began to irresistibly gravitate towards music, and he received his first poetic experience under the influence of his father - Nikolai Mitrofanovich wrote poetry himself, some of which were published.

In 1987, Yuri made his public debut, performed at the club with several of his songs. Some time later, the first composition of his group was assembled, which immediately received the name "Gaza Strip". Around the same period, Klinskikh began to use the pseudonym "Hoy" more and more often, beating his trademark cry, so well known to fans from the band's concert performances. The popularity of the group grew, but Yuri Klinskikh continued to work either at the plant or as a loader - music did not bring him serious profits, and the group's records were sold in many handicraft copies far beyond Voronezh.

Even in the 1990s, when the group finally achieved widespread popularity, Hoi did not become rich - “piracy” flourished in the country at that time, the number of licensed discs sold was barely 1% of the total number of media purchased by the group's fans. Having started touring the CIS, the author was forced to create more restrained texts, but most people continued to associate the "Gaza Strip" with bawdy and unbridled behavior. However, which of the rockers, both Russian and foreign, would be embarrassed by this?

Early death of a star

Yuri Khoy died on July 4, 2000 in Voronezh. The life of a Soviet and Russian rock musician was interrupted at the peak of his creative activity - on this day, Hoy was scheduled to shoot another video clip. As his friends and colleagues later recalled, nothing indicated that Yuri felt bad or was afraid of something.

At the same time, information later spread that the artist had a presentiment of his death - when choosing songs for his latest album "HellRaiser", he insisted on including "Demobilization" in it. According to colleagues, Hoy feared that he simply would not live to see the recording of his next album. Fans do not stop asking questions and listening to one of Hoy's songs, where he sang: "The gas sector - here you will not live to see forty." Involuntarily the question arises, did the artist guess about his early death or unwittingly prophesied it to himself?

There are several versions of the artist's death. According to one of them, Yuri Khoy died of a heart attack - the body simply could not stand the stress associated with intense creative activity in combination with the well-known attributes of the life of many rock musicians. According to other sources, according to sources close to the singer's entourage, Hoy recently suffered from hepatitis, but did not stop using drugs, which could lead to his early death. Khoy's ex-wife also talks about this in her interview - according to Galina, his new passion specially taught him to drugs in order to "keep him near him."

Unfortunately, only one thing is known for sure - the true circumstances of his death are still shrouded in mystery.
