Instructions
Step 1
Keep warm for the weather. Modern frost-resistant clothing is light enough compared to heavy fur coats, but at the same time it keeps warm well and does not allow the body to cool down. Do not neglect the principle of layering. By dressing like a head of cabbage in double mittens, a T-shirt, sweater and sweatshirt, two pairs of socks, etc., you will provide much more insulation. Pay attention to thermal underwear - its distinctive feature is that it allows the body to breathe, but at the same time does not allow wasting the heat emitted by the body itself. Outerwear should be windproof and preferably waterproof. This applies to pants and a hammer, a down jacket or a coat. And most importantly, insulate your head, neck and legs as much as possible.
Step 2
The body also needs internal resources to keep warm. Therefore, before going outside, especially for a long time, eat well and densely. Insufficient nutrition, as well as fatigue, can easily cause frostbite of the limbs due to the fact that the body's resistance is reduced. Eat something very satisfying - meat, pie, soup, porridge. Drink hot tea. For example, a hot ginger drink is indicated before and after walking in the fresh frosty air. Brew black or green tea with fresh chopped ginger and lemon. Drink hot. Ginger gently raises the body temperature, activates its internal resources, preventing you from freezing.
Step 3
Refrain from alcohol before and after a walk. It certainly reduces the sensation of cold, but it misleads you, preventing you from feeling how cold your body really is. Try not to smoke in the cold - this provokes a narrowing of the blood vessels, reducing the blood supply to the extremities. Therefore, it is smokers and people in a state of alcoholic intoxication that doctors include in the main risk group for frostbite.
Step 4
Don't stand still, move. Brisk walking, bouncing, exercising - all this stimulates blood flow and warms up the body. Try not to breathe through your mouth, cover your nose with a mitten.
