The transcript is simply an integral part of all the crews of cars that compete in the Rally class. It is a specific description of the site, from the start to its finish. It is important to follow the basic rules of transcript recording.
Instructions
Step 1
First write the distance in meters on the line. But do not try to indicate absolutely accurate information, since in this case it will be conditional. Distance data is needed by the driver to evaluate actions (acceleration, corner entry, braking) based on the time available. Over time, you will get used to these uniform distance conventions. Write simply - 25, 30, 70, 80, 300, 800, 1000, etc.
Step 2
Subdivide distances over 250 before the turn into 2-3 segments by recording clearly distinguishable landmarks on the track. For example, 100 B 300 sign 200 PR3 200. From here we see that the segment ends with the distance. This will enable the driver to calculate the exit from the turn. If we are talking about small distances, then it is best to write them in bundles 300 LV3 10 LV4 40 PR5 300.
Step 3
Also indicate the direction of rotation. From the previous diagram, you probably already understood that turns to the right are designated as OL and to the left - LV. However, you can also use Latin letters: L-P, L-R. Set track markers before the turn. For example, 300 sign ПР4 500. This step is quite justified, as it allows the driver to calculate well the time of entering the turn.
Step 4
Describe the difficulty of the turn after indicating its direction. Difficulty is usually understood as its steepness, expressed in degrees. It should also be designated with a number. The driver interprets this data as a cornering condition. Based on them, he decides to slow down or add speed (brake, change gear, etc.).
Step 5
So, if you write "0" for the difficulty of the turn, it means that this is just a slight bend in the track. For example, 200 PR0 on LP3 400. This indicator is indicated only in bundles. In general, the difficulty factors of a turn can vary from 0 to 8, depending on its degree (from 5 to 180). Be sure to also mention with the letter "T" in the transcript and about the springboard, if it is present on the track. For example, 300 T PR3 200.
