According to one of the legends, the flower personifies the three periods of the life of the girl Anyuta. The girl had a kind heart, so she found an excuse for all her actions. But one day she met a guy and fell madly in love with him. Unfortunately, the young man did not appreciate her feelings and left, saying that he would return. His girlfriend was waiting for him for a long time, but he never came. And when she died, beautiful flowers with multi-colored petals appeared on her grave. It is believed that each petal symbolizes hope, sadness and love.
Another option was invented by the Greeks, who called the flower the flower of Jupiter. Once the Thunderer got bored and decided to go down to earth in order to find entertainment for himself. After a while, he met a girl and became very interested in her. But Jupiter's wife Juno found out about this connection. He was forced to turn the girl into a white cow in order to save his beloved. To mitigate her fate, Jupiter ordered the earth to give her a pleasant food for her. These were the flowers of Jupiter, which since then have symbolized girlish bashfulness.
In the Middle Ages, "Pansies" received the name of the flower of the Holy Trinity. The plant acquired this name because of the peculiarities of its color. If you look closely, in the middle of the flower, the color resembles a triangle, which Christians compared to the all-seeing eye, and the divorces around it are the radiance coming from it. In their opinion, the triangle denoted the three faces of the Holy Trinity.
