Step 1
Prepare a light green sample. A sample could be an illustration in a magazine, a piece of fabric, or even an object of the desired shade. In order to get a light green hue, prepare two main colors - yellow and turquoise. To begin with, you should practice on a palette with a little paint.
Step 2
Take equal proportions of turquoise and yellow. Stir the paints on a palette and apply to a sheet of paper. The larger the area of the painted surface, the clearer the result will be. Therefore, do not spare paper for test strokes and you will see how close the resulting color scheme is to the sample.
Step 3
When mixed, colors can change brightness and saturation. In the event that the resulting shade does not suit you, feel free to vary the colors. Add turquoise if you want a brighter, more saturated color. Accordingly, if you want a shade lighter and softer, add yellow. In order not to overdo it - add paint in small portions, otherwise you will have to start over. Mix and check the resulting color periodically with the sample.
Step 4
To give the light green color a pastel character, add a small portion of white paint to the finished color scheme. White color will give the shade lightness, tenderness and airiness.
Step 5
Accordingly, light green can be made more complex and deep thanks to the black color. Use black very carefully and dosed. Lightly touch the paint with the edge of a dry brush and apply black to the palette. Mix well and try on a piece of paper to see the effect. Mixing colors gradually, achieve the desired nuance.
