Step 1
Please note that not all veterans are eligible for housing, but only those who need to improve their living conditions. Those, according to the law, are those who live in dilapidated or dilapidated houses or apartments. Registration is also carried out in the event that for one person registered in this housing, there is an area less than the sanitary standard for a given constituent entity of the Russian Federation.
Step 2
To register for the improvement of housing conditions, write an application to the local administration, attaching a photocopy of your passport. In most regions of Russia, the registration of these documents is carried out according to a simplified scheme and nothing more is required from the veteran - the rest of the certificates will be collected by the employees of the municipality on their own.
Step 3
The procedure for providing apartments to veterans is different. This can be a subsidy for the purchase of housing, the size of which is equal to the average cost of one square meter in the region, multiplied by 36 - this is the norm of the area provided. With the help of this subsidy, a veteran can purchase housing anywhere - throughout Russia. A veteran can buy housing either equal in value to this figure, or make an additional payment and purchase housing of a larger area. If the purchase of housing is carried out at a cost less than the amount of the certificate, the remaining money is not given to the person. It is also possible to buy an apartment at the expense of the municipality with its subsequent provision under a social rental agreement. If the veteran has not yet used the privatization right, the apartment can be registered as property.
Step 4
A housing improvement subsidy cannot be spent on anything other than housing. You can register and receive an apartment or a subsidy for it only once.
Step 5
In case of deliberate deterioration of living conditions, this law does not apply to veterans for 5 years.
