Instructions

Step 1

Registration of small vessels, including self-made ones, is carried out in the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels - State Inspectorate for Small Vessels. There is such an inspection in every region.

Step 2

To register, take a standard form in the State Inspection Service and write an application for a permit to build a small boat. In it, indicate the type of vessel, your passport details, place of residence and contact phone number.

Step 3

Attach a general arrangement drawing with numbered structural elements and a theoretical drawing of your boat in three projections to the application: side - side view, half-latitude - top view and hull - front and rear views. If the drawing was not created on a computer, but by hand and in pencil, make a photocopy of it and provide it at registration.

Step 4

If the boat is a powerboat, attach a diagram of the location of the mechanical installation and equipment to the application. Your boat will have to be inspected by a State Inspector of the State Inspection, based on the results of his inspection, a conclusion will be made on the compliance of the boat with the necessary requirements.

Step 5

When registering, you must provide receipts for the materials used in the construction. Therefore, when buying them, be sure to take and keep your receipts. Remember that cashier's checks tend to fade, so always ask for sales receipts. You can protect your cashier's receipt from fading by storing it in an opaque envelope in the refrigerator.

Step 6

If your boat has a sail larger than five square meters, you will need a sailor's license. You can sail without a license with a sail of up to five square meters.

Step 7

At the end of the registration procedure, you will receive a ship ticket authorizing the use of your boat. In this case, you will definitely have to equip it with a first-aid kit, a repair kit, a sound signal, a floating scoop and other equipment - a complete list will be presented in the issued documents.
