There are several themed trains on the Moscow subway. The most famous and colorful of them is "Aquarelle", it runs along the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. The residents and guests of the capital really liked the idea of such trains, so the number of themed cars is increasing.
The oldest of the currently operating thematic teams is the People's Militia. The train was first launched in 1989 on the Zamoskvoretskaya line. Initially, the train was no different from the rest of the subway vehicles, but its design was updated on November 8, 2006. This train does not have a specific timetable and can appear at any time. A distinctive feature of the "People's Militia" is the materials about the Great Patriotic War, which are presented inside the salon.
Another thematic composition is "Kursk Bulge". It began its work on May 8, 2003 on the Sokolnicheskaya line. The train was decorated in memory of the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Kursk. "Kursk Bulge" consists of seven cars, the head ones are decorated with St. George ribbons and metal plates. Inside you can see information about the history of the Moscow Metro armored train.
In honor of the 75th anniversary of the very first branded train St. Petersburg-Moscow, the Red Arrow - 75 years train was released. The train is painted red, there is also a distinctive yellow horizontal stripe, the stylized number 75 flaunts on the doors. The interior has red seats and a reddish glitter floor, yellow handrails. The walls are decorated with posters of the story of the Red Arrow.
Very unusual is the Aquarelle train launched in 2007, which is a whole picture gallery of reproductions of the artist Sergei Andriyaka and the most talented students of his school. Lighting has been mounted above the paintings, and several large windows and seats have been removed. Outside, the train and carriages are covered with foil with drawings of fruits and flowers, each carriage is unique.
The composition "Reading Moscow", which began work on May 31, 2008, also has an original design. Outside, it has decorations in the style of the “Reading Moscow” action, but inside the train is a collection of images of literary characters and excerpts from many works for both children and adults.
The retro train "Sokolniki" looks very beautiful, which has the appearance of the very first train in Moscow. The train is painted in the style of a 1930s subway, but this train is not an exact replica of the train of that time.
On August 1, 2012, a new theme train was released, which was created in honor of the 175th anniversary of the Russian railways. The walls of the cars are decorated with posters with the history and photographs of the Russian railways; there will be no advertising in the train.
