Compliance with fire safety rules is necessary not only in order to comply with the law, but also to prevent undesirable consequences of a possible fire. One of the prerequisites for the implementation of any activity of enterprises and institutions is the existence of an evacuation plan in case of fire, which establishes the rules of human behavior and the procedure for actions in an emergency.
Necessary
Floor plan of the building
Instructions
Step 1
Check out the Fire Safety Regulations in the Russian Federation. According to this normative act, in buildings and structures, schemes for evacuating people in the event of a fire must be developed and placed in conspicuous places. At facilities where a mass presence of people is possible, in addition to the evacuation scheme in case of fire, instructions for the actions of personnel are being developed. Responsible for compliance with fire safety rules is the head of the facility.
Step 2
When drawing up an evacuation plan, first draw out the floor plans of the building, being careful not to clutter them with minor and irrelevant details. Draw on the plan a scheme for evacuating people from the premises. In this case, use solid green arrows to show the main escape routes, and using the dotted arrows of the same color, depict alternate (additional) routes. Use conventional symbols to show on the diagram the locations of installation of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, the places where automatic fire systems are switched on, the location of telephones.
Step 3
Prepare the text portion of the evacuation plan. Execute it in the form of a table indicating the serial number, list of actions, performer. Supplement the text with instructions for personnel and reminders of what to do in the event of a fire. Reflect in the text part also the methods of warning about the fire; organization of evacuation; control over whether all people left the premises; methods of checking fire alarm actuation (including actions in case of automation failure); fire extinguishing procedure; the procedure for the evacuation of property.
Step 4
Assign performers for all sections of the plan, based on the capabilities of the people and the skills they possess (professional, organizational, etc.). When working out an evacuation plan, use timing, recording the time required to perform certain actions provided for in the plan.
Step 5
As an attachment to the table, prepare a list of responsible persons and employees of the organization, providing a column for writing about familiarization with the evacuation plan. Place the date on the evacuation plan, seal the organization and sign the fire safety officer.
