Storytelling is essentially a part of human existence that everyone takes for granted. A well-told story can not only amuse the listener, teach him something new, entertain, but also help the narrator find new friends, achieve some goal of his own, and conclude an important contract. There are certain practical techniques for telling a successful story.

Step 1
A good story should have a vivid central character or several. Identify a real person for this role, or create an animated face with your imagination.
Step 2
Tell your story about the changes that suddenly happened to your main character. Let him, for example, have something or someone important that will help prolong the story with a narrative. It's good if you make the listener empathize with your main character, rejoice at his victories. History should not be a dry statement of facts, be abstract.
Step 3
It is very important to fill your story, if it is real, with formal frames, coordinates, where the important action took place, for how long, when, and so on. Saturate your story with facts, humor (if appropriate), events, examples, even embellish it a little.
Step 4
Don't jabber, but don't tell the story too slowly for the listener to get bored. Make eye contact with your viewer. Add emotion to your story. Whether it's an interesting story from your life, a story about a recently read book or the premiere of a new anecdote. Facial expressions, emotional movements of hands, bodies fascinate the audience, as if they are in the theater of one actor and his audience.
Step 5
If you see that the audience is frankly bored, change the topic, the plot of the story, add colors to your narration, draw attention with an unexpected turn in the fate of the main characters of your story.
Step 6
Another important factor in the success of the presentation of the story will be how pleasant the narrator's appearance is. Monitor the condition of your teeth, oral cavity (so that it does not smell unpleasant), be neat, stylishly dressed, do not splash saliva during the story. You should be pleasant to look at to others. If you have problems with speech, defects (lisping, incorrect pronunciation of sounds, stuttering), visit the defectologists who will correct this problem, since such moments can distract listeners from your story.
