A musical instrument, such as a piano, can sound great, but its appearance does not suit you. In this case, update its paint, add some decorative details and enjoy the harmony of your interior. Decorate the piano for the children's room with bright applications so that it does not embarrass the child with its gloomy appearance.

Necessary

  • - sandpaper;
  • - primer for wood;
  • - acrylic paint;
  • - roller;
  • - brushes;
  • - parquet varnish.

Instructions

Step 1

Pre-treat the surface of the piano. Remove old varnish and paint with sandpaper. Sand the piano with fine sandpaper. If you find cracks or chips in the surface, carefully putty these places.

Step 2

Treat the prepared surface with a solvent to make the paint smoother. Find a primer for wood surfaces. It significantly improves the color quality of the product and reduces the consumption of materials. Apply a primer and leave to dry as directed.

Step 3

Take white acrylic wood paint and add beige color to it. Apply paint gently with a small roller. Make thin layers so that the final result will please you. To make the color even and dense, it is necessary to apply 4-5 coats of new paint. The next layer is applied only after the previous one has completely dried.

Step 4

Now start decorating your piano. Prepare gold acrylic paint. Using a clean, dry roller, apply strokes in different directions in a random manner. Do this work also in layers, there should be 5-6 of them. This creates the effect of marble or other natural stone.

Step 5

Draw a stylish ornament on a piece of paper. Make a stencil so that all the details on the piano are the same. If you are good enough to draw the same style on different parts of the tool, work directly on the surface.

Step 6

Mix colors to achieve the desired shade that will look harmonious on your new piano color. A combination of brown, beige and gold will do.

Step 7

Draw a pencil drawing on the selected places of the tool. Finish with thin brushes. The pattern can be one-color or three-dimensional - it depends on your skills and taste preferences.

Step 8

When the ornament is dry, apply 5-6 thin coats of parquet lacquer to the surface of the piano.
