A footcloth is a medium-sized piece of dense warm fabric that is wrapped around the leg instead of socks. In the old days they were worn with bast shoes, nowadays they are worn mainly under tarpaulin boots or army shoes. It is necessary to wind the footcloth so that while walking or running, it does not unwind and does not create unnecessary inconvenience.

Instructions
Step 1
Take a rectangular piece of fabric. Its dimensions should be approximately 35x90 cm. The fabric should be without seams, its edges should not be overcast so that the lines do not rub the foot while walking.
Step 2
Spread the fabric on the floor or any other horizontal surface, straighten it with your hands so that there are no folds. You can put on the footcloth while weighed it on, but be sure to pull it on so that folds do not form.
Step 3
Place your foot closer to the edge of the footcloth, slightly diagonally, with the heel pointing to the bottom corner, the toe turned from the top corner. The right foot is placed to the right edge, the left to the left. Put your foot, stepping back from the edge of 20 centimeters. A little fabric should remain in front of the toe.
Step 4
If you shake your right leg, then take the outer corner with your right hand, wrap the foot with it from above and slip the edge under the sole of the foot already from the inside, lightly step on this edge. Be careful not to wrinkle.
Step 5
Pull the remaining large piece of fabric on the inside with your other hand, wrap it completely around the foot, placing it on top, then passing it under the sole and heel. It turns out a complete turnover of matter around the foot.
Step 6
Pull the remaining end of the footcloth up from the heel along the lower leg. Wrap the back end behind the lower leg, leave the front end in front of the leg. The footcloth is wound.
Step 7
Wrap the left leg like the right, only as if in a mirror image.
Step 8
Footcloths should be wound moderately tight and without folds, they should fit the leg well so that they do not unwind while walking or running and do not rub the leg. Legs must be clean and dry before wrapping the footcloths. After use, the footcloths can be washed, dried and reused.
Step 9
For winter footcloths, use a fleece or woolen fabric; for summer footcloths, cloth, calico or cotton are better suited.
