If it affects young plants or seedlings, they have no chance, and if it starts up on your cabbage at a time when it is already quite mature, it greatly weakens the plant and prevents the formation of a large head of cabbage. What can you do to get a good harvest and not mourn the untimely dead seedlings?

Step 1
Keela remains in the soil, therefore it is extremely important to carry out a comprehensive cleansing of the infected area. If keela affects your cabbage, be sure to remove all plant debris from the area. No compost pits and no more soil embedding! Affected plant residues must be burned mercilessly. An important condition is crop rotation. In no case do not grow cabbage in the same place of your summer cottage for several years in a row. Also, you cannot alternate it with other cruciferous plants (radishes, turnips, rutabagas, radishes, etc.). Cabbage can be returned to its original place of cultivation no earlier than after 5 years, and with heavily infested keel soil - after 8.

Keela can be transmitted through cabbage seeds, so decontaminate them before sowing. It is best to purchase seeds from a store, since in this case the risk of getting infected is practically zero, but the seeds from the bag can also be affected by the keel. Disinfection can be carried out with a strong solution of potassium permanganate. Tie the cabbage seeds into a gauze bag and immerse them in the solution for 3-4 hours. This method gives surface disinfection. To carry out a more serious cleaning of seeds from pathogens of soil and seed infections, heat them in water to a temperature of 50 C and stand for 20 minutes, then immerse them in cold water.
Step 3
Discard all weakened and diseased plants carefully. If you notice the first signs of the disease, get rid of the affected plant without any regret. In the seedling boxes, remove the affected plants along with a lump of earth, and spill the soil with a solution of onion peel or potassium permanganate. If you notice the affected cabbage on plantings, also remove it without delay along with the root system. The soil in this area should be covered with salt or spilled with concentrated saline (unless the plants grow close to each other).
