Few people are able to enjoy walking around the city when the thermometer shows temperatures well below freezing. Even warm clothes and shoes do not help everyone. It's one thing to quickly walk from the bus stop to your home or run to the store, but what if you often have to be in the cold, wait for a bus for a long time, go to rallies?
Instructions
Step 1
Dress properly. Firstly, multi-layered - first a cotton T-shirt, a turtleneck, then a cardigan or wool sweater, then a warm coat, down jacket, fur coat or sheepskin coat. Buy special thermal underwear that wicks moisture away from the body, preventing freezing. Be sure to wear warm scarves, hats, wear mittens instead of gloves, choose outerwear with hoods. Secondly, never wear tight clothes in cold weather: all things should sit freely, since in this case the air gap serves as a barrier to the cold. Shoes should also be spacious, tight shoes interfere with blood circulation, which makes the feet freeze faster. It is advisable to wear boots made from natural materials. Do not wear tight waistbands or belts.
Step 2
Do not wear metal jewelry: remove earrings from your ears, bracelets and watches from your hands, and ring fingers. Contact with them freezes the skin even more, disrupts microcirculation, which is so much slowed down in the cold.
Step 3
If your feet and hands often get cold in the cold, massage before leaving the house. The cause of freezing is a violation of blood circulation, so you need to rub your hands and feet with a hard towel or a special massage brush. If you are going to walk in the cold, pour dry mustard or pepper into your socks - they warm the skin well. At least an hour before leaving the house, apply a greasy cream (not moisturizing!) To your skin.
Step 4
Do not go out hungry, eat warming food: rich cabbage soup, fish, porridge, dishes in pots. Drink tea, preferably herbal, or cocoa. In severe frosts, try not to exclude foods high in calories from your diet. You also need to monitor the intake of vitamins, mainly A and C, which protect the skin.
Step 5
Protect your fingers - they are the last to get blood, since all the body's forces are spent on heating the vital organs. If you feel your fingers begin to tingle, wiggle them: rub your palms together, move your toes, be active.
Step 6
Do not smoke in the cold and do not try to bask in alcohol, which only causes a false sensation of warmth, but in fact leads to its loss. In a state of intoxication, frostbite and cold injuries are most common. Also, you do not need to often drink hot drinks in the cold, otherwise vasoconstriction will occur due to temperature differences. Sip warm sugary drinks.
