If you decide to put a peat dry closet in your country house, then you only need to fill a special tank with peat, which will process the waste into a homogeneous mass, absorbing all unpleasant odors and microbes and not letting them out. Only such a device for the disposal of human waste can rightfully be called a dry closet, since the compost processed by it can be thrown into the soil without fear. It will not only not pollute it, but it will also fertilize well.

Having stopped your choice on a chemical dry closet, you must remember that all its waste cannot be disposed of in the soil, as it is unsafe for the environment. How does such a device work? Water is poured into a special tank, into which a chemical liquid is added, which ensures the decomposition of feces. The lower tank is filled with sanitary liquid for dry closets. Next, you will need to arm yourself with a drain pump and pump water from the drain tank into the bowl. When the separating valve is opened, the solution will enter the reservoir, where the sewage will be destroyed. Such a dry closet is called a portable chemical or portable liquid toilet. Its low weight (up to 5 kg) and small dimensions will allow you to install it in any place convenient for you. However, it is not recommended to install it in the kitchen.

An electric toilet uses heating and ventilation during operation. In this case, liquid waste is separated from solid waste and is discharged into the sewerage or drainage provided for this. Paper and faeces are dried and stored in a special compartment of the device. The latest models of such dry closets are capable of drying even liquid waste. Such a device has a rather high price, but its volume will be enough for you for 3-4 months of use. The only drawback is the impossibility of using it in case of a power outage.
