Waste recycling is an efficient and cost effective way to dispose of household and industrial waste. There is a secondary, tertiary and other processing of materials such as paper, glass, metals, asphalt, fabrics and plastic.

Instructions

Step 1

We have our own recycling technologies for various types of waste. There are also specific methods for extracting this or that material from the waste pile. For example, steel and iron in waste recycling plants are extracted using magnets. In many countries, there is a household waste sorting system. Citizens distribute their waste to separate containers for paper, plastic, glass, etc.

Step 2

Metals are materials that can be smelted. Recycling of valuable non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, tin) is especially beneficial. Not only all-metal scrap is subject to recycling, but also technical parts, such as processors and microcircuits containing gold. Such garbage is sorted by size, crushed and filled with acid, in which the metals are dissolved. Under the influence of displacers and reducing agents, gold is precipitated, while other metals are separated from the solution by separation.

Step 3

Waste from glass and plastic is also remelted. The following plastics are obtained by recycling: polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, low and high pressure polyethylene, polystyrene, polycarbonates, polyamides and others.

Step 4

Clothing made from artificial materials can be used in the production of recycled plastics. Natural fabrics are crushed, soaked and discolored during processing. The raw materials obtained in this way are used for the production of banknotes or high-quality art paper for drawing with watercolors or pastels.

Step 5

During processing, footwear is divided into its component parts: sole, upper, fasteners, etc. Each material is processed separately. Particularly successful in shoe recycling has been NIKE, which offers customers a discount on new shoes if they bring their old sneakers to the store.

Step 6

Waste paper, i.e. all kinds of paper waste, used in the production of newsprint, packaging and toilet paper, various types of cardboard and packaging of non-food products.

Step 7

Incineration is another way of recycling waste. In this case, the goal is to obtain heat energy.

Step 8

Unfortunately, in Russia, such a method of waste disposal as waste disposal is still used. This method is dangerous for the environment, since many substances from household appliances, batteries, energy-saving lamps are toxic. Once in the soil, they penetrate the groundwater and can poison a large area.
