Fishermen, depending on the fishing conditions, use different colors of fishing line. In sunny weather, they prefer blue, greenish shades, in cloudy or at night - brown and other dark ones, up to black. But it is not always possible to buy the line of the desired color in the store, so it is useful to learn how to paint it yourself.

Necessary

  • - dye "Elegant";
  • - brilliant green;
  • - 5% iodine;
  • - casings from walnuts;
  • - blue for linen;
  • - ink for fountain pens.

Instructions

Step 1

To give the line different colors, use the ELEGANT synthetic fabric dye. Heat 0.5 liters of water to a boil and add 10 g of the active substance. Soak the fishing line in warm water for 5 minutes and then dip it in the paint. The intensity of the resulting color depends on the residence time in the solution (1-15 minutes). Then rinse the line in warm water and dry for 2 hours.

Step 2

If you want to get a green color, and you only have a brown dye " Elegant ", prepare a solution of it (0.5 l of water per 10 g of active substance), then cool and lower the line. After 10 seconds, pull it out, add 5 ml of brilliant green, put the fishing line in the dyeing solution again for 3-5 minutes.

If you want to have an olive shade, then take only 2 ml of brilliant green. The intensity of the color will depend on time. Rinse the line and dry.

Step 3

To make clear line yellow or brown, dilute 5% iodine in water and soak in this solution. If you use a blue line, you get a shade of pond water. Do not keep in the iodine solution for a very long time, otherwise you will get a dark color, even almost black.

Step 4

You can paint the line in all shades of brown with green walnut shells. Do not confuse them with shells. Make an infusion. Boil about 800 g of shells for 20 minutes (take enough water so that it slightly covers the mass). Dip the fishing line into the hot broth. Let it brew for a day. Then rinse and dry the line. The color intensity depends on the number of walnut shells.

Step 5

You can use regular fountain pen ink. Mix them with hot water, lower the line and hold for half a day. Rinse and dry. You can choose any color, and the intensity depends on the concentration of the solution (amount of ink).
