A passport photo is an image by which you will be identified throughout the entire validity period of this document. There are no dressing requirements for passport photography, but there are some tips to help you look your best in the final image.

Step 1
There is no official dress code for ID photos, unless you are photographed for interior decoration at your work - for such a case, of course, it is better to prefer the style of the internal dress code. Clothes for photographing for documents should be comfortable so that you do not feel constrained and it does not reflect on your face. It is not recommended to come to the photographer in white, because usually a white background is installed in the studio - in the final image it will merge with your clothes.
Step 2
It is better for overweight girls and women not to wear contrasting clothes for shooting - for example, an orange sweater and blue jeans. This combination visually emphasizes figure flaws, especially in harsh lighting. It is better to choose something monochromatic and free, you can also use fabrics with a small pattern. If you're worried about a double chin, use a light silk scarf to match the rest of your outfit, just make sure it doesn't cover your face when shooting. The minimum skirt length is slightly above the knee, but not shorter.
Step 3
It is easier for men to choose clothes. If you don't want to look fat in the photo, wear a classic three-piece suit - it will hide all the flaws in your figure. It will be better if the suit is dark, and the shirt is white or just light, this combination visually slims. Check in advance that the shirt fits you - a collar that is too tight not only interferes with breathing, but also shows your double chin, even if it is not noticeable in other clothes. If you don't have problems with your figure, jeans, a sweater, and any shirts, just not too bright and colorful, will do. It is better not to be photographed in shorts and T-shirts.
Step 4
In a passport photo, clothes are almost unimportant - only the face and shoulders remain in the frame, so in this case makeup and hairstyle are of the greatest importance for women, and for men - posture and head tilt. But in any case, women are not recommended to wear blouses and blouses with shoulder pads - it looks unnatural in the picture, especially if you have large shoulders. If you want to emphasize your neck, use a dress or a sweater with a cutout, if, on the contrary, you want to hide its length, use a blouse with a stand-up collar.
