To replace a sticker with a cue, refer to any of the markers in your club. However, this operation can be performed independently. The main thing is to know the sequence of actions and to act in a measured manner.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut off the old sticker first. It is quite simple to do this, however, you should try not to damage the surface of the fiber under the sticker. You can use a sharp knife.
Step 2
Do not scrape off what is left on the shaft from the old sticker with a knife. Sand the tip until it is completely free of residue and glue and is smooth. Do not remove too much material from the fiber.
Step 3
Select the decal that best matches the shaft tip diameter. Stickers that have a slightly larger diameter in relation to the fiber can be used, but experimenting with a smaller diameter is unacceptable.
Step 4
Slightly sand the base of the sticker to ensure good adhesion to the fiber surface. In the future, the glue should glue the surfaces well enough.
Step 5
Now grease the sticker with glue, and apply a small amount of it to the fiber. Then count to ten and then glue. This is necessary for better adhesion of the adhesive. It is also important to read the instructions for the glue before gluing. Since some brands of adhesives are not suitable for certain plastic fibers, the sticker will not adhere well and will fall off the first time it hits the balls.
Step 6
You also need to think carefully about how you will press the sticker against the fiber so that it sticks well enough. It is highly undesirable to use metal clamps attached to the shaft, since no notches will certainly remain after them.
Step 7
After the glue dries (and this will happen in at least three hours, although it is better to wait overnight), start adjusting the sticker to the fiber. Use special sandpaper for this.
Step 8
You can paint the new perimeter decal, although this is not necessary. A special marker is used for this. Be careful not to touch the fiber. After all, you can remove a black marker from the fiber only with sandpaper, and this will not give your cue a better look. It is better to pre-wrap the fiber with a film and only then tint the edges of the sticker.
