Every Russian citizen has the right to receive free medical care. For its implementation, there is a compulsory medical insurance system. However, not any type of medical care can be provided upon presentation of a policy; high-tech treatment is paid for by the state directly. To have a major operation, you need to get a quota.
Instructions
Step 1
Despite the fact that the quota is issued by the Department of Health, the attending physician deals with the paperwork. Ask him to issue a referral for a comprehensive examination, which will confirm the need for expensive treatment. Pass all the prescribed tests, get the opinions of the recommended specialists.
Step 2
Get a detailed extract from the medical history with the results of the examinations from your doctor. Contact the head physician of the medical institution with a request to certify the medical documentation with a signature and seal.
Step 3
Make sure that the management of the medical institution in which you are being followed has sent your documents to the Department of Health for review. Write down the date it happened. As a rule, the study of documents takes about two weeks. Be prepared for the fact that you may be invited for a face-to-face consultation, but do not be alarmed if this did not happen. The personal presence of the patient is required only in case of controversial issues.
Step 4
Ask your doctor what decision was made on your issue. If it is positive and the quota is received, your medical documents will be forwarded to the clinic that provides VMP according to the profile of your disease. The question of the date of hospitalization will be decided there. If there are no seats, your data will be added to the waiting list.
Step 5
If emergency medical care is needed, the quota can be obtained on an expedited basis. To do this, a statement from the attending physician must be attached to the extract from the medical history that delay can cost life.
