When investigating incidents involving fires, it is always necessary to establish the cause of the fire. For this, a fire-technical examination is usually assigned, during which qualified specialists study the features of the situation at the scene of the incident and identify possible causes that led to the fire.
Instructions
Step 1
Outline a set of measures within the framework of the assigned fire-technical expertise. It includes clarification of the place of ignition, establishment of the mechanism of combustion and its development. You will also need to identify the accompanying circumstances that contributed to the fire.
Step 2
Determine the object to be surveyed. These can be burnt parts of buildings, structures, materials, machinery or vehicles. Record traces of exposure to fire. For this, a protocol is drawn up, in which all the features of a particular situation are reflected in writing. Check if there is one fire source, or there are several such places. Could spontaneous combustion of materials occur in the investigated area? If the fire site contains signs of arson, indicate them in the inspection report.

These can be residents of the house, employees of the enterprise responsible for the operation of the premises and fire safety. In the course of the interview, clarify everything that concerns the possible causes of fire, pay special attention to the facts of violation of safety measures when handling fire.
