Great attention is paid to landscapes, which allows you to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the action. It is worth noting a more thoughtful world, since the story develops for a long time, many details must be taken into account in order to avoid incidents.
The first animes weren't meant to be fun. They carried a deep philosophical meaning that could hardly attract a young audience. Modern works have adopted a lot from there.
Another distinguishing feature: the selection of their own subgenres with strict characteristics. For example, shonen is works for teenage boys with dynamic plots, and seinen is anime for adult men with elements of romance.
