Many people in their school years had to shoot wads of paper from a disassembled fountain pen into the heads of their classmates. And this simple device is a kind of prototype of a real wind pipe. At one time, these weapons were used by American and other tribes, making these pipes each in its own way. You yourself can make such a projectile, which has become the prototype of modern pneumatic weapons, from improvised means.
Instructions
Step 1
You will need a seamless metal pipe with a length of 150-200 cm and an inner diameter of about 1.5-2 cm. The preferred material is aluminum. The pipe must be free from deformations and bends.
Step 2
If you want to make your weapon more powerful, let your pipe consist of 2-3 sections. It will be easy to fold and unfold without taking up a lot of space when folded. And the sections can be fastened to each other using a connecting tube with a slightly larger diameter. When necessary, you can put on the connecting pipe at the point where the sections join and tighten it with small clamps equipped with small screws.
Step 3
Now make a mouthpiece out of a syringe or something else that might work to keep your lips from coming into contact with metal. A great mouthpiece will turn out, say, from a plastic champagne cork. You just need to cut the bottom of the cork and push it tightly into the tube.
Step 4
Close the tube section facing the target with a plastic cap. This is to prevent dust and dirt from entering the tube during inactivity.
Step 5
Now you need to choose what you will shoot from your wind pipe. These can be paintballs, bamboo skewers and much, much more. An endless field for creativity is open before you here. You can make real arrows up to 10-30 cm in length. Make the rear end of the arrow slightly thicker so that it approaches the inner diameter of the tube. So you will achieve the required air pressure when blowing the arrow out of the blow tube.
