An office chair is an integral part of the interior of an office, home or apartment. It simultaneously serves as a place for work and rest, and also creates an atmosphere of coziness and comfort, emphasizing the individual style of the entire space. When assembling the chair, problems may arise that during operation will lead to its breakdown. That is why it is very important to pay special attention to the assembly process.

Instructions

Step 1

Before starting work, unpack the chair and be sure to check that all the necessary parts are present, inspect them and make sure that they are not damaged. If during the inspection no defects were found and the quality of the parts suits you, you can proceed to the assembly.

Step 2

Insert the wheels into the spider. This can be done manually, you just need to press harder on them until a characteristic click. If it doesn't work, place the cross on a flat surface and use a small hammer to gently tap the wheel to drive it into the bushing. The blow should be applied between the spheres of the wheel. Be careful not to crack the plastic.

Step 3

Next, insert the gas cartridge (gas lift) into the central hole of the crosspiece and put a decorative cover on it so that the wide glass is at the base of the chair, and the narrow one is at the very top of the gas cartridge.

Step 4

After that, proceed to the installation of the armrests. In most models, they are attached with three screws (one long and two short). If the fastening part of the armrests is metal, then it is best to install the spring washers on the screws when fastening, this will help prevent them from loosening in the future. Tighten all the screws so that they fit into the threads, otherwise it will be very difficult to screw the armrests.

Step 5

Insert the corner into the seat mechanism and secure it with the large screw (wing). Then put the back of the chair on the corner and, having adjusted it, screw it with a smaller screw.

Step 6

At the end of the assembly, sit on a chair and pull the lever up, it will fall under the weight of the body, and if you get up a little, it will rise. If this does not happen, check the gas cartridge, it may have a special cap that protects it from arbitrary disclosure during transportation or assembly of the chair. Also, see if the lever itself is bent, perhaps it does not hit the gas cartridge button when pressed.
