Solanaceous plants, which include potatoes, peppers and tomatoes, especially need this fertilizer. When feeding them, the administered dose of potassium should be increased by 1.5 times. The procedure is best carried out after the last rain so that the water does not wash this element from the foliage.

Dry potash fertilizers are scattered in a strip on the bed between the bushes of plants. When processing, you should adhere to the instructions that accompany the packaging with the chemical. Exceeding the dose will not harm the plants, but the large amount of potassium in the soil will interfere with the good absorption of other beneficial elements such as calcium, magnesium and manganese. In addition, a high concentration of chlorine can be formed, which is undesirable for food. The average allowable rate of potassium chloride application is 15-20 g per 1 sq. M. soil.

Potassium chloride in the form of a fertilizer belongs to the 3rd class of chemical hazard, so you need to be careful when working with it. It must be stored in special packaging, and when using it, wear protective goggles and a respirator. This substance does not harm the skin when it gets on them, however, wounds and scratches must be sealed with adhesive tape before work, otherwise healing will be delayed due to exposure to dust-like chlorine particles. Do not mix this substance with chalk, lime and dolomite.
