Goods on the clothing market are sold to you not by individuals, but by private entrepreneurs and trade enterprises. This means that the famous consumer protection law applies to them as well. Therefore, it does not matter at all where the product was purchased - in a store or in the market. You have the right to return the item on the market in the same way, if it was purchased there.
Instructions
Step 1
According to Art. 25 of the law, you can return an item of proper quality within 14 days from the date of purchase. You shouldn't tell the seller that you just changed your mind and want to return the product. In this case, the return can be made only with his consent. The reason for the return may be that you are not satisfied with the shape, dimensions, style, color or equipment of the goods.
Step 2
According to the law, the return of good quality goods can only be made if there is nothing to replace it. Therefore, the seller will first try to find a suitable alternative to the product you purchased and will offer you a similar model. Only if there is no replacement, you will be refunded within three days after your request.
Step 3
The condition for the refund will be the complete safety of the thing and its consumer properties, the absence of traces of its use, all trade labels, seals and the presence of a cash register receipt confirming the fact that this thing was purchased from this particular seller. If the check was not there or it is lost, you need to collect testimonies from three witnesses who can confirm the fact of the purchase.
Step 4
If you purchased an item on the market and found defects only after you brought it home, then when returning it, follow Art. 4 and 18-24 of the Law. Write a statement, specifying the name of the trade enterprise in the specified articles of the law and ask for a refund in cash through the cashier. You may not even need a statement. When you present the detected defects to the seller, he can return the required amount to you without it. In case of refusal, contact the market administration. As a rule, representatives of the consumer protection department are present there, and they will make sure that your rights are fully respected.
