Buying perfume is a responsible business. You need to choose a fragrance, determine if it suits you, evaluate the beauty of the bottle, choose an acceptable price. And what a shame then to be convinced that the aroma found with such love is a fake. What should you pay attention to when choosing and how not to purchase an outright fake?

Instructions

Step 1

The most important criterion for the original is the price. Perfume and eau de toilette are not cheap products. Before making a choice, evaluate the assortment of different stores, choose the perfume you like and compare prices. You can even write them out. The fragrance you like in one store costs 1,500 rubles, in another - 1,700, but in the third, for some reason, 500. Obviously, the last option is a fake. It can only be bought by a person who clearly understands that he is acquiring a replica of a perfume brand.

Step 2

The next item is packaging. Remember, no well-known brand produces perfumes in plastic pens. If you see a number of monotonous boxes, differing only in color, but bearing big names of completely different brands, this is an absolute fake. Mini-bottles do not inspire much confidence either. Sometimes this is the implementation of sample probes, which are not intended for sale at all and have a corresponding mark on the bottom. But more often it is a really gross falsification. Unconditional fake - all kinds of bulk perfumery. No brand markets its product this way.

Step 3

Check the packaging. Now counterfeiters pack their products in very high quality boxes. But the look of cellophane in which the box is wrapped can be alarming. Too dense, unclear cellophane with rough gluing is a sign of one hundred percent fake.

Shake the vial box gently. Original fragrances must be securely fixed inside the package. If the bottle moves freely, something rustles and rattles inside - the perfume is fake.

Step 4

Remove the bottle from the box, inspect it. If the glass seems suspicious to you - unclear, uneven, with bubbles inside - do not buy this bottle. Remove and replace the cover. The original version involves removal with light effort, but without difficulty. The lid is precisely fixed on the neck, does not rotate or jump off, does not fall apart. And, of course, there should be no scratches, chips or abrasions on either the bottle or the lid. If there is even a drop of doubt, refuse the purchase.

Step 5

And finally, the scent. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to evaluate it directly at the point of purchase. But at home, you quickly recognize a fake. The smell of a fake perfume is much simpler, poorer, devoid of undertones and nuances. Most importantly, it evaporates outrageously quickly. Even the lightest original eau de toilette remains stable for at least half an hour. The fake disappears after 15 minutes, without leaving even a hint of smell on the skin.
