Before starting anti-mite treatment, check for mites. For this, you can order a special acariological survey of the territory in a special company. Or check in a simple old way: take a white towel, wipe the sweat with it and then run it over the grass, last year's leaves, bushes. If there are ticks in the grass, they will definitely move on a towel.

The complex of anti-mite measures begins with the preparation of the territory. Mow the grass, remove last year's leaves and debris. There should be no heaps of garbage and cluttered places on the site. If it is necessary to process a small area, a barrier is made of gravel or sawdust around its perimeter, at least a meter wide.

When choosing a drug, its possible toxicity, harm to the environment, the presence of animals and fish, the proximity of water bodies are taken into account. Many drugs are toxic to humans, cats, and other animals, so it is best to use pyrethroids (herbal drugs). Previously used DDT can accumulate in the soil, kill not only ticks, but also beneficial insects, and can cause massive poisoning of birds.

The work must be carried out immediately after the snow melts, before the activity of the ticks. Particular attention is paid to the grass along the paths and alleys, places near the active recreation of people and children. It is forbidden to use some aerosols closer than 500 meters from ground and surface water bodies so that the components of the product do not get into the city water intake.

Spraying with pesticides is carried out in strict accordance with the instructions, using aerosol generators of cold and hot fog. All work must be carried out by epidemiologists from an accredited organization.

Before starting work, it is necessary to warn all possible visitors to the treated area, and it is better to close it at least for a day. Within three weeks after processing, you can not pick berries and mushrooms along the paths, walk animals.
