If you distinguished yourself in any business, for example, took an honorable place in an international competition or saved a child from a burning building, then you have become an informational occasion. This term means in journalism a potentially interesting event for the audience. And in order not to be obscured by the attention of media representatives, you should know in advance how to answer journalists' questions.

Step 1
If you do not know the answer to a question, instead of stupid assumptions, it is better to answer honestly - "I have no idea." People always like sincerity, with the help of this technique the famous journalist Larry King built his career. If you are a representative of a company or a party, thank you for the question, and promise to comment on the situation next time.
Step 2
Train spontaneity of speech. This is the ability to speak on topics close to the question, but not answer anything specific. The main condition is the coherence and consistency of the answer, as well as confidence in their words.
Step 3
Answer the journalist with a question to a question to avoid unpleasant topics in the conversation. You can, for example, ask "Why are you interested in this?" The journalist may start making excuses and this will put you in a better position or simply help to avoid an unpleasant question.
Step 4
Invite the journalist to work out the problem together. This will relieve the pressure on you and help the dialogue continue in an easier way.
Step 5
If you are one of the participants in the press conference and the question asked is inconvenient for you, refer to the fact that the topic of the conference is different, or there is little time left for such questions, but next time you will definitely give a detailed commentary. Another option is to say that you have not yet seen the report on this issue and the statistics are not yet fully ready, but you are ready to tell about something else (you, as a narrator, are more profitable). If the question is based on an assumption, counter that you prefer to talk about more specific things.
